Chennai based Purpletree Hotels & Hospitality Services implemented hospitality management solution at four of its properties – three in Chennai and one in Pondicherry. The main idea behind adopting a hotel software was to improve overall operational efficiency across all its properties.

Purple Tree first decided to adopt PAX at Grand Tiara, a 23 room boutique business hotel in Chennai. The software was then implemented at Esparan Heritage, a 12 room boutique hotel that reflects ‘Franco-Tamil’ architecture in Pondicherry. The third installation of PAX was at Evlewt, a 12 room serviced apartment in Chennai and the fourth installation happened at Bluten, another limited service property in Chennai with 18 rooms.

“We are a vibrant and growing hospitality group with in-depth expertise in running some of the most successful hotel properties. We understand that technology is key to smooth and seamless functioning of hotels, irrespective of size and operations. That is why we decided to opt for hotel management software and our first choice was IDS Next’s PAX,” said Chintan Shah, Manager, pre-opening at Purpletree Hotels & Hospitality Services.

Pradeepa Shetty, Vice President, Channel Sales at IDS Next said: “PAX is the newest software from the house of IDS Next and it is targeted towards the sub 2 star hotel category. The advantage of PAX is that it is a high quality software built with our extensive domain expertise. Price sensitive hotels now have a fantastic opportunity to automate their front office, point of sale and accounts receivable with PAX. This small hotel software has been designed to automate processes, reduce dependence on manpower, plug revenue leakage and enhance transparency. The small hotel segment is growing rapidly in India and so is our PAX customer base.”
