The Royal Thai Embassy announced new guidelines for visa application, effective 1 May, 2017. It unveiled a new checklist for entry visa application. The applicant must apply for an appropriate entry visa at least seven working days prior to the travelling date. The visa process takes three working days.

Should the embassy request the applicant/travel agent for additional documents, they can submit the said documents on the next working day after the date of passport collection. In that case, the visa process will take three working days including the date of submission of additional documents.

The applicant/travel agent who wishes to withdraw a passport can do so on the next working day after the date of passport collection. In this case, the process will take two working days including the date of submission of the withdrawal letter.

It should also be noted that the visa process will take additional two working days for visa application submitted at the VFS Centres outside Delhi.
