A tourist apps guide with 224 user-friendly applications was jointly launched by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, through the State Society for the Management of Innovation and Tourism Technologies (SEGITTUR) and the Chamber of Commerce, under the umbrella of the Center Knowledge, Intelligence and Innovation (Intelitur).

The apps are a result of a selection of the most representative related services and products that a tourist may use during his/her trip. The guide has been divided into seven categories - transportation, accommodation, entertainment and dining, adventure tourism, destination guide and utilities and applications 'smartwatch'.

This year, it incorporates a selection of 29 apps for 'smartwatch' including those related to flight bookings, accommodation and knowing a destination.

The guide can be downloaded from the website of Segittur and Intelitur. The Guide is in Spanish but most of the applications would have their English version which you could download and use easily.

In the transportation section, there are apps linked to airlines, airports, trains or flight seekers. In the accommodation section, you can find apps to search for hotels, campsites and rural accommodation. In the entertainment and dining section, a collection of the best apps to find and book restaurants, tickets, theme parks, amusement parks or discounts is included. The active tourism section consists of applications for skiing, hiking, scuba diving or sailing, among other sports.

It also includes applications to discover attractions of different autonomous communities and major domestic destinations.

This year's edition also has a section on apps as currency converters, translators, suitcase organizers or expense managers.
