SpiceJet launched services on the Hyderabad-Puducherry sector offering connectivity from different parts of the country to the Union Territory.

The Hyderabad-Puducherry flight is the third daily flight launched by SpiceJet under the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme. This new flight, Puducherry will be connected with Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Tirupati, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Vijaywada and Varanasi.

The flag-off ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Puducherry - Shri V. Narayanasamy, Shri V. Vaithilingam, Hon’ble Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Shri V.P. Sivakolundhu, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Shri Malladi Krishna Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Health & Tourism, Government of Puducherry, Shri N Gokulakrishnan Rajya Sabha MP, Shri. Manoj Parida, I.A.S. Chief Secretary to Government of Puducherry, Shri V V G Raju Regional Director South AAI, along with elected legislators, senior AAI & SpiceJet officials.

The launch included lamp lighting ceremony followed by ribbon-cutting with thw announcement of the launch of the new flight service.

On the occasion , Shilpa Bhatia, Senior VP, Commercial SpiceJet said, “Puducherry is home to several big IT software and hardware giants and witnessed growth in recent years.Our flights will definitely bring in more leisure and business traffic to the UT.”
