Tourism New Zealand recently organized a seven day trip for a group of four travel industry directors and senior members from India that included Kanan Ravindra Fotedar, Managing Director of Travelnliving, Manjula Ramesh Godia, Director of Varun Worldwide Vacations, Pinal Jitendra Reshamwala, General Manager of Indulgence, Thomas Cook India and Shimul Pankabhai Shroff, Honeymoon Crafter of A Travel Due.

The visit covered regions across the North and South Islands of New Zealand and showcased its most luxurious experiences that are meant for high end Free and Independent Travellers (FIT) luxury travellers.

The group was taken to all the main boutique and luxury lodges of New Zealand such as Delamore Lodge, The Boatshed, Mollies Luxury Boutique Hotel, Raetihi Lodge, Eichardt’s Private Hotel, Matakauri Lodge, Millbrook Resort and The Rees in the regions of Auckland, Marlborough Sounds, and Queenstown.

The group also set out for The Sugar Club at the top of the iconic Skytower in downtown Auckland where they experienced New Zealand’s 'mixed and matched' Asian and European flavours and tried out the Ecozip Adventure after visiting Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant.

The helicopter ride by Tasman Helicopters at Marlborough Sounds was followed by visit to Brancott Estate Heritage Centre where the group tasted New Zealand’s Sauvignon Blanc. The short guided walk on the Queen Charlotte Track, Kayaking trip by Wilderness Guides in the Sounds and visit to the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre, Blenheim were also included in the trip.

Towards the end of the trip, the exclusive Maori Haka and other cultural performances in Queenstown and the Shotover jet ride that gave the team, the opportunity to experience New Zealand’s love for art and adventure.
