Destination France continues to charm and enthral the Indian traveller with its versatility. This popularity finds resonance in the awards that were recently bestowed on France by readers of renowned lifestyle and travel magazines such as Travel+Leisure and Conde Nast Traveller.

On the occasion of its 11th Anniversary in the South Asian region, Travel + Leisure India & South Asia announced the results of its sixth edition of the India’s Best Awards. The ceremony took place at the ITC Maurya in New Delhi. France shared the honours for the Best Honeymoon Destination with Thailand. The award was received by Pusha Kothi - Head Communications Atout France India.

At the seventh edition of the Conde Nast Traveller Readers Travel Awards that took place on 27th November at the Andaz in New Delhi, France was declared the Favourite Country by the discerning readers of the magazine. The award was collected by Sheetal Munshaw Director Atout France India in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of France to India Alexandre Ziegler.

Munshaw shares her thoughts "We are sincerely grateful to the readers of Travel+Leisure and Conde Nast Traveller for this wonderful recognition. These awards are a proud result  of the collective efforts put in by the Embassy of France and consular offices pan India and Atout France towards showcasing France as a premier tourist destination to the discerning Indian traveller. These awards only motivate us to continue to work harder towards unveiling more of France's myriad unique experiences that are sure to woo many more Indian visitors to our shores".
